Color Pasting

Ease of color-sharing is at the heart of the 'CPT Designer'. It just takes a single click to copy a color to the Clipboard, and then another click to paste that color to a new location.

You can copy colors from the Color Designer's 'Current' or 'Previous' rectangles, from the Scratch-Pad, the Named Colors, the Swatches, the Image Palette, the Visualization colors, or the CPT File Window.

You can paste colors to the Scratch-Pad, the Swatches, the Visualization colors, or the CPT File Window.

To copy a color from one of the previously mentioned regions, just click it. The fact that a color is now available for pasting is mentioned in the Status Bar. Its Hex code and color-swatch are shown adjacent to the message. If you now click one of the regions that will accept colors, that region will change to the Clipboard color, and the Clipboard will empty. You can only paste one color to one place at a time. If you start to copy and paste a color, and then change your mind, simply click on the rectangle where you copied the color, and the potential to paste that color will be canceled.
