Swatches

'Swatches' are small stores of colors that you can use to group, save, and compare sets of colors that you might find useful when composing or editing CPT files. Swatches are displayed in the 'Swatches' tab, which is located in the lower 'Tools' tab-pages. Each Swatch can store up to 64 colors. Each Swatch can have a date/time stamp, and a comment. You can also choose it's filename, and where it is stored. You can copy the colors from the current CPT file into a Swatch, or the colors from the Scratch-Pad. You can also copy and paste colors to and from the Swatch from elsewhere in the program window. You can sort the colors in a Swatch by Hue, Saturation, or Brightness.

The current altered-state of the Swatch is indicated by the color of the 'Comment' label. If the Swatch has been altered, the color of the label will change from green to red. If you try and open a new Swatch over an altered one, or if you try and close the program when the current Swatch has been altered, you will be prompted to optionally save the changes before proceeding.

The 'Swatches' menu-command has a number of menu-sub commands, each of which is described in it's own help-section: 'New Blank Swatch', 'New Swatch from Scratch-Pad', 'Copy CPT Colors to Swatch', 'Open Swatch from Disk', 'Reopen Swatch from Disk', 'Save Swatch to Disk', 'Save Swatch As', 'Order Swatch Colors By Hue', 'Order Swatch Colors By Saturation', 'Order Swatch Colors By Brightness', and 'Clear All Swatch Colors'.
