Lat-Lon List
The 'Plot > Lat-Lon List' menu-subitem allows you to read a file containing a list of latitude/longitude positions and display them as Position Markers on the Online and Overlay maps. Each line in the file should contain a single pair of latitude/longitude values in decimal-degree format, separated by a single comma. South and west values are negative. No quotes or spaces should be included.
Example line: -37.8318,140.7792
As the positions do not include an accompanying label, the positions themselves will be used to form the label that appears when your mouse hovers over the marker. You can turn the Mouse Position Label on or off by clicking 'Mapping > Online and Overlay Mapping Options > Show Map Mouse-Position'.
Right-click the marker to perform a Spatial Query. You can change the type of marker used for Position Markers by clicking 'Help > Options > Markers > Choose Position Marker-Type'. There are 37 different marker-types available.
Position Markers have their own 'layer' above the Online and Overlay maps, which can be controlled independently of the others. Use the menu-subitems below 'Markers' to temporarily hide or permanently clear the Position Markers.
The list of positions is also shown in the 'Tables' tab.
