Markers
You can choose the type of marker-image that is assigned to any of the Markers that are displayed on the Online and Overlay Maps in the 'Markers' Options tab-page. There are currently 37 different marker-types available, of different sizes, shapes, and colours. Any of these marker-types can be assigned to indicate the position of Callsigns, Gazetteer, Grid Locator, Position, Postcodes, IOTA, SOTA, Spatial Query, Shires, WWFF, ARLHS, and WLOTA entities. Some markers may be used for different things: for instance, the Position maker is used to plot a position requested from the Plot Box, but also to plot positions in a list. The Callsign marker is used whenever callsigns are plotted: from the Plot Box, from callbook entries, from lists of callsigns, or from log-entries.
The Online and Overlay maps have seven separate marker-layers over the map information. These layers hold different types of markers. You can control the visibility of a marker-layer in the 'Markers' menu-suboptions in the main programme window. Each of the markers listed on this Options page: 'Callsigns', 'Gazetteer', 'Grid Locator', 'Position', 'Postcode', and 'Spatial Query' have their own layer. The other layer: 'Points of Interest' contains markers for: IOTA, SOTA, Shires, ARLHS, WLOTA, WWFF. You can assign marker-images to them in the 'POI Markers' Options tab-page.
