User

The 'User' tab-page is the only tab-page that needs to be configured after program installation.

It has four sections:

a/ User Details - here you can enter the details for your home location. You should enter a name or callsign, using characters from the following: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, /, and SPACE. You should then enter your latitude/longitude position in decimal degrees. If you don't know what they are, you can find them on Google Maps by right-clicking the map. Your altitude is used for satellite calculations: just leave it at 0 if you are not sure.

b/ Program Startup Conditions - here you can choose:

b1/ to have the program-window in a maximized state at program-startup. In the case of a computer with multiple-monitors, the program will start in the monitor that was being used when the program was last closed down. If that monitor is no longer available, the program will start in the computer's primary-monitor.

b2/ to show the Info Bar at program-startup. The page that the InfoBar will show is the one that it was last showing at program-close.

b3/ whether or not to enable the 'News Ticker', the small pop-up strip that will appear above the Data Bar when it has some messages that it wishes to share with you. If it is not enabled, it will still show the Version Message, the License Message, and the Updates Message at program-start, but no other messages.

c/ User Default Units and Formats - here you can enter your preferred units and formats for Distance, Date, and Time. You can also set your local Time Zone, which is used whenever Local Time is displayed, such as the 'Clock over SunRiseSet' selection on the Data Bar. Your computer will already know what your local Time Zone is: to find out, right-click the clock on the Windows TaskBar, and select 'Adjust date/time'.

d/ Program Alerts for Calendar and Countdown Timer Events - The 'Time Mapper UHD' can be programmed to respond to Calendar Events, or Countdown Timer Events. When these go off, you have a choice as to how you will be notified: by playing a sound, or by showing a Message Box. The program may also show a message on the 'News Ticker' as well.
