My GuestMap can only display a maximum of 100 entries at once. As new entries are added, the oldest entry gets discarded into Cyber Space. I don't like that, as I value all of the comments that visitors have bothered to leave. Consequently, I've created a list of all entries. This page contains 601-700. To search, use 'Control-F'.

Comments :  The 'Maidenhead' locator system wasn't first proposed at the
            IARU Conference in Maidenhead during 1980. It was invented
            by John, G(GW, GM)4ANB (and now resident in W6) while he was
            working near Oxford in about 1976. I was lucky enough to
            share a few pints with John a day or so after he first came-
            up with the idea. Subsequently it was discovered that a
            Swedish guy, whose callsign I sadly can't remember, had a
            very similar idea, and the two systems were amalgamated and
            were adopted as an IARU Region 1 locator system to replace
            the old irrational QTH Locator system. IARU worldwide
