Grid Locators
The 'Grid Loc' options-page contains the settings that apply to plotting Grid Locators over the Vector and Online Maps. Grid Locators can be plotted during 'Contest Mode', 'External Logger Mode', and 'Log Plotting Mode'. Click a colored square in the 'Grid Locator Colors' panel to change a color. A 'Color Picker' window will open. You can choose any of the basic colors shown on the left, or create your own color on the right by dragging the Hue cross around the colored window, moving the Luminosity Slider up or down, or typing in HSL or RGB values in the range 0-255. The transparency for those colors is changed with the 'Grid Locator Fill-Transparency' control, using the range 0-255, where 0 is fully transparent, and 255 is fully opaque.
The Continental USA has 488 2 degree x 1 degree Grid Locator 'squares' that cover valid land areas. You can choose to show place-holders for each of these squares on the Vector Map when plotting Grid Locators during the above-mentioned Modes. To do this, check the 'Show Place-Holders for All 488 Grid Locators' checkbox.
When plotting Grid Locators in the 'Contest Mode', 'External Logger Mode', or 'Log Plotting Mode', you can choose what the background-map will be by selecting it in the 'Grid Locator Background Map' panel.
