Scratch-Pad
The Scratch-Pad is a convenient working area where you can store colors for use in other parts of the program. It is located in the tabbed-pages to the upper-right of the program window. Once in the Scratch-Pad, colors are remembered when the program restarts. You can copy and paste colors to and from the Scratch-Pad - see the 'Color Pasting' help-section for more details. You can use the 'Copy CPT Colors to Scratch-Pad' menu-command to copy unique colors to the Scratch-Pad, as long as there is some free space available. 'Free-space' is defined as any rectangle colored white. You can empty the Scratch-Pad completely by using the 'Clear Scratch-Pad' menu-command, or you can copy/paste the color white into a rectangle that contains a different color. Colors in the Scratch-Pad will normally stay in the rectangle they are pasted to, but they can also be re-ordered using the Scratch-Pad menu-commands to 'Order Scratch-Pad Colors By..' Hue, Saturation, or Brightness.
The 'Scratch-Pad' menu-command has a number of menu-sub commands, each of which is described in it's own help-section: 'Copy CPT Colors to Scratch-Pad', 'Order Scratch-Pad Colors By Hue', 'Order Scratch-Pad Colors By Saturation', 'Order Scratch-Pad Colors By Brightness', and 'Clear Scratch-Pad'.
