Programme Window
The main programme window is designed to be easy to understand, and simple to use. The top line contains the Menu-Bar with a variety of menus: Browse Tables, Main Log, Auxiliary Log, Grid Squares, Plot, Markers, Export, Updates, and Help. The function of each of these will be explained later. At the end of the line of menu buttons is a the Plot-box and a button marked 'Plot'. Here you can enter a variety of values. Once located, they will be plotted on the maps, and indicated with a specific type of marker.
Below the menus are a line of tabs that open a variety of pages where the data, maps, and logs are displayed: Tables, Online Mapping, Overlay Mapper, Great Circle Map, Main Log, Auxiliary Log, and Grid Squares. Again, the function of each of these will be explained in detail later.
At the bottom of the screen is the Status-Bar. Here a variety of messages will be displayed that provide information on current programme status, or explain the function that you have just performed.
Like most computer windows, the main programme window can be adjusted in the usual ways: dragging a side or corner to resize the window, or minimising/maximising the screen with the relevant buttons in the top-right of the window. The window has a minimum size that it can be reduced to, but no maximum size: that would depend on the size of your monitors.
To end the programme and close the programme-window, click the 'X' in the top-right corner of the main window.
