North American Overlay Mapping
Plot the User-List
This tool lets you plot any of the User-Lists on the current map. To use it, choose a map, then click 'Tools' > 'Plot Lists'. When the tool box opens, choose which list interests you in the upper select-box.
When a list has been selected, the tool tells you how many entries that list has, and how many of those entries are on the current map. Click the 'Plot' button to plot these entries on the map.
You can also choose various options for the list-entries:
- Color of plot: choice of 8 colors
- Width of points: choice of 3 widths
- Labels: on or off
When the list entries have been plotted, three additional buttons control how they are displayed:
- Clear: will delete the list entry plot
- Hide: will hide the list entry plot
- Show: will show the list entry plot
If nothing has been plotted, these buttons will appear to do nothing, apart from giving their normal audio feedback. To turn audio feedback on or off, use the 'Options' tool.
Below these buttons, a table is drawn that lists the Name, Position, and Entry Number for each list-entry that is in the area covered by the current map. Each entry also has a 'Plot?' check box, that determines whether or not an entry is to be plotted on the map. When the table is filled, the 'Plot?' boxes are all checked. Thus, when the 'Plot' button is pressed, all list-entries on the current map are plotted. To select a smaller number, clear the 'Plot?' boxes of all those you wish omitted.
Note: When a new map is loaded, or when you visit the Calculation Page or Table Viewer, all graphics are discarded.
